Lucy Wallace

Lucy Wallace holds the Winter, Summer and International Mountain Leader awards. She is based on Arran but work takes her all over Scotland and abroad. She is an accredited DofE Assessor working with a number of schools and Approved Activity Providers. Prior to setting up her own wildlife guiding and mountain leading business Lucy was RSPB Information Officer for Arran. She is a member of Arran Mountain Rescue Team.

When not working, Lucy loves to roam the hills, mountaineering, watching wildlife and just taking it all in.  She enjoys climbing, sea kayaking and mountain biking. Overseas expeditions both for fun and work have included trips to the European Alps, Morocco, South Africa, Tanzania and Malawi.

Lucy is a brand ambassador for Grangers who make a range of Bluesign Approved products for cleaning, protecting and maintaining outdoor equipment. A self confessed gear geek and published outdoor writer, Lucy manages our blog, adding updates about adventures, gear reviews and news.  

 

Stuart Wallace

Stuart Wallace aka "Wally", holds the Mountain Leader Winter and Summer Awards and the Single Pitch Award as well as the RYA Advanced Powerboat Certificate. He is a British Cycling MTB Level 2 Leader, accredited DofE Assessor, and Paddlesport Leader.

He has extensive experience of working in outdoor education and adventure tourism all over the UK but particularly in Scotland and Wales. Having lived on Arran for ten years and explored every nook, cranny and rocky tor, he knows the hills like the back of his hand. He is a member of Arran Mountain rescue Team.

When not working, Wally is a keen climber, cyclist and sea kayaker.   Overseas trips have included trekking in Nepal, crossing Morocco by bike, and mountaineering in the Alps.

Wally loves to work with bikes and is a Cytech Level 2 Mechanic. During the pandemic he set up Wally’s Wheels Cycle Repairs, and is now running a thriving bike workshop.
